Perches

Perches are structures that elevated above the surrounding area. They are typically few in number and quite different from their surroundings. Examples of perches include; residual trees left behind after a clear cut, telephone poles along roadways, and wolf trees, scattered shrubs, or fence posts in fields. Various birds use perches for loafing, hunting, or singing.
